Do You Have A Favorite Pet? This Was Mine

No apology needed Caitlin, just shocked me at the tragic ending. Hate that. Life can be cruel at times. That would've stuck in my mind too.

I guess he was. We never kept him groomed like a typical Airedale.

 

My goodness at least they didn't suffer. But sad anyway.

 

This is something i wrote soon after my pet cat "Junior, passed away in 2019, and i still miss him to this day,,!

Have you ever had a pet you would never forget? A pet who would sleep with you and purrr in your ear , year after year then suddenly he would become so very ill that you have to take him to the Vet?
Then only to be told there was nothing they could do? Suddenly it's up to you! what would you do?
Well it's done. He felt no pain, he went fast asleep never to wake again,,, and to this very day, i still miss him so much!! ,,
.....

 

Just to let you know, Jake, and it's been on our local news several times, the problem here with Coyotes. Because there's a lot of desert area here, including rock mountains here (no trees at all), they are many Coyotes. Unfortunate for one lady, that someone caught feeding some and done a cell phone video of it. The video was on the news also. Both dogs and cats, that are left in backyards for any hours of the night, are vulnerable to Coyote attacks/killings.

 

This is Nikki, the 3 yr. old 1/2 Malamute-1/2 Siberian Female Husky we had in Colorado, the first time we lived in Colorado. She loved going in our old Invader Bowrider on a lake. She even had her own lifejacket. Miss her a lot! If we get another dog, it will be a Shih Tzu pup.

 

Just saw this Cody, never "notified", either. Beautiful dog, will have to look up a Shih Tzu, to see what that is.

 

We saw a couple of coyotes here, cross the road in front of us, running fast, once. Hear about people and animals being attacked in different parts of the country.

 

Cody 'its a dog eat dog 'world we live in and domestic animals kill all the time, especially dogs killing cats, we had to train our dogs not to hurt our cats. Our donkey would stomp any animal that came into our yard, then again, she was a good ' guard donkey'.

 

Cody, speaking of dogs and boats, it is past time for a river ride with the dogs.

This is Dexter we’ve been taking care of him on a regular basis for about 2 years
He a sweet boy he 13 years old

 

No pets now, but I miss having them. I have loved my dogs, but I guess that is over for a while now.
