I have no claustrophobia (I used to some spelunking but not underwater). Crawling through an 18" by 30" space that had a stream running through it was unpleasant for me but not scary. I get that same vicarious shiver that you do when I watch a movie that has climbers doing an overhang. A little acrophobia, I guess.
