Since it's been a few years, perhaps some of our newer members would like to join in on this.

Aussies use quite a few slang words , we usually have a mid morning cuppa ..we call it Smoko.

I’m flat out today ( busy )got a doctor's appointment …shopping …all that stuff cause ya know I’m home for a change as my neighbour would say …..if I was a worker I’d have to say I’m gonna chuck a sickie to day cause I’m flat out like a lizard drinking

so I’ve gotta run or I’m gonna be late for my very annoying check up at the quacks ..I’m not sick why do I need a check up …oh cause I had a blood test gotta go waste the docs time for that , and ask for more drugs I suppose ( BP pills ) :p

Older women used to be referred to as Old Chooks …. and I sometimes say it myself ….about myself …. I say nah …. No more poison jabs:eek:. ( Covid or shingles ) for this old chook

Aussie’s also say nah not for the little black duck but we are not allowed to say Black now days ….. wonder how people get on who’s names black , I must ask someone I know with the name black if she gets any backlash when she mentions her name ( cause it’s becoming a weird world now days )

"I am so suprised that my eyes are popping out. In fact I have so many eyes popping out, I probably look like a gol-derned tater just sittin' there ready to be et. I wouldn't be suprised if someone just came right up and cooked me up and et me."
