Cremation. I tell my friends I'm going to leave them a small vial of my ashes to remember me by :) My second choice is to be buried in a military cemetery along side my fallen brothers I suppose I should make up my mind soon HA!HA!

There was a comedian who said he wanted to be cremated, have his friends walk up to those he disliked, say "Frank says Hi!", and throw his ashes in their faces.

There's a "Post-Toasties" joke in there somewhere, just waiting to be teased out.

More and more of us have discussed this and have opted for immediate cremation. Clean and no fuss. No funeral or long drawn out obit. Raise a glass to my life and wish me God speed. That's sufficient.

Cremation and no service. If you want to celebrate my life, do it while I am alive.

I have a prepaid cremation waiting to wash me down, fold me up, and sock me in the furnace.
I am told my ashes will be laid to rest in a family plot in a small town cemetery in southwestern
Oklahoma, never to see Texas again.

I want to be cremated but my husband wants a regular burial. I suppose they could tuck me in a baggie in the coffin with him, or sprinkle me all around in there. :D I think I'd like for a handful of my ashes to be sprinkled around my back yard, next to my precious little Harry's grave. (Harry was my dog so don't report me to the police.) My best years were in this house and Harry took a piece of my heart with him to heaven.

Tonight, we are sitting up a Direct Cremation with Neptune Society. Have our ashes flown to So. California to be put beside my wife's son. We want to be dressed in our full Western attire, which will include our cowboy hats, when we are cremated.

They offer a "military" type cremation for me, but I didn't want it.

Next is getting our Living Wills ready.

Had my will done many years ago, and stipulated that I wanted my body donated to "Bay Watch".

    Probably need to update it...

My father was cremated and we buried his urn in a regular grave site. Fast-forward 30 years and when my mother died and was cremated, we got permission to bury her ashes in the same plot (Sorry, dad.) It's a little goofy when you go online to that cemetery's directory, since there's only one name per plot.

Regarding your violation of local ordinances...welcome to the club. My dog was in her early 20s when she died, and she got buried at her home.
