Circa 1977. I had this Sony until a few years ago and then donated it to good will. I recently ordered these USA made bikini hipster bottoms from Popina and have several of the old USA made underwire bikini tops in my Poshmark likes, but can't decide if I should buy one or not. I wouldn't wear them on the beach these days or even as a bra (since I am going braless these days) but I am thinking of making a display of this vintage pinup bikini with my old favorite transistor radio. Sort of an art piece to celebrate my past.

If you still had the radio you could have made a nice strong backpack for the radio. It would have already had shoulder straps made. :D

I don’t listen to radio much at all. Most of our listening is concert videos in the PM from DVDs or YouTube. I do still have one old AM tube radio. I also still have my dad’s old tube based Hallicrafters short wave radio, both still work.

We have two talk radio stations that I listen to. The problem with one of them is that only 30% is actual talk and the rest is commercials. Everything else is music which isn't from the 50s and 60s, so no interest..

I have DAB radio upstairs and another downstairs, I listen to both every day for discussions. The music played (so called oldies) is much to modern for me though. I suppose that I must be considered 'ancient'.

I have 2 real radios ( digital ) however they only work if you live close to the city so they are sitting in the unused extra lounge room due to us being 2 hours drive outside of Adelaide City
( we have a family and lounge rooms typical of modern homes )

We used the radios when travelling in the caravan ….one of them also has a clock on the front of the radio .

Now days I listen to a talk back radio station ( Adelaide station ) through my google home nest. …or music I often ask it to play country classic music which it will play all day until I tell it to stop

One day hubs and I were chatting about the Richard Gere movie …shall we dance, I then said to the GH nest …hey google play the competition dance part of the movie I mentioned here ^^ and it did just that …and only that part of the movie

We mostly read The Bongino Report. Since giving up cable we don’t watch any broadcast news, 90% of it is straight propaganda these days anyway.

That is so true. It seems that if the government and MSM says it, you can assume it is a lie. So sad.

Same here, I just tune in weather in the mornings because we are now in the election cycle and it has been full blown BS for the past month. All of it is degrading any conservative. The latest craze is changing gun laws because a couple shooting incidents with people being shot on private property and that law stand your ground. It is now under attack for changes so they can water it down after the kid with the M-16 two years ago defended himself in a riot and was ruled not guilty for shooting a couple maggots trying to kill him. It isn't about a guy ringing the wrong door bell or about cheerleaders climbing into the wrong car. It is about the American mindset that has not relinquished their minds to big democratic little people hiding behind a door in DC. Nothing but killings and butchering on national news every stinking day and why would anyone trust a total stranger to ring their door bell, especially old people who are easy targets. The news continuously push this stuff and nothing is done to stop the violence using our laws, we have laws use them !! And use them to remove these slugs in DC who aren't doing their jobs. You have to laugh at these idiots who think a gun has a brain. I hate seeing people blame society and strangers for their own failures. I Hate the News.

They use web crawlers and everything in our world on internet is interconnected and monetized. Jus tic an ad or an image on most pages rewards someone with a very tiny token, but they add up in a year. I don't let google do anything for me if possible and they really should be broken up and break up the monopoly. My main game engine I build on uses Chrome or I should say it recommends chrome because it is always the first to update libraries needed for the pay game engines, others are slow so just one rock in the road will break a game running on a non-updated browser.

On Yahoo this morning a headline read a young woman was killed by a big rock while driving. I didn't go into the article but I demand that big rocks be outlawed.
