I learned to ignore being ignored, maybe try that and see how it works. But then I also talk to myself alot too. " I know your out there somewhere" another song to put up." I'm sure your ignore it but have a nice day John.
I would have loved to see your drone videos @John West I’m mainly a games player on here since about 2015 and I’ve rarely strayed out of the games section due to relying on my limited data mobile WiFi however as of a month ago we had the unlimited data internet connected to our home so now I can play videos and not be worried about having a bit of data left to play games with my friends the next day
My hubby was a motor bike adventurer he did a couple of very long trips from Adelaide (capital of South Australia ) …where we lived at the time ( Still in SA but live in country area now) He didn’t believe on traveling on the” black stuff” as he called sealed roads twice so he traveled to Bunbury in Western Aust via Darwin ..way way outta his way by going that way if you look at a map of Australia. Another time he went from Adelaide to Cairns in Queensland I forget without asking him but he didn’t travel both ways via the same roads . He had his Bunbury trip published in a Ulysses club magazine. @John West
How’s this for a drone show taken by a everyday long distance truck driver https://www.bbc.com/news/av/world-australia-56990845
The Drone Goes Crazy: Two days ago, I rode to a nearby, historic farmstead to get some photos and a video. The place was the Willard farmstead, which dates to the 1700s and was the home of the Willard family of early clock makers. The Willard homestead is now a museum displaying the family's home, workshop and an assortment of the clocks they produced. I rode out there seeking to update my photos and video of the place on a day when the weather obliged (i.e., good sunlight and low/no winds). Other reasons for the trip were (1) to get in a motorcycle ride, however short (i.e., only 2 miles as the crow flies) and (2) get more practice flying keyframe paths. The flight and time spent were instructive as the drone went berserk and taught me some things in the process. Below is a video that displays the crazy flight and summarizes lessons learned. I remain convinced that doing these kinds of things (venturing out, trying new things, solving problems, learning new lessons, etc.) are good for your body, brain and soul. I hope you find them interesting and another reminder that you may be older than dirt but you're not dead (until you are) and can learn and enjoy new things.
That would be my main ride, a 2014 BMW R1200 GS (Gelände Straße meaning "land and street"). With two side panniers, tank bag and back pack, it carries my drone, cameras, water for hydration,, tire repair kit, tripod or monopod, built-in GPS, iPhone, Advil for old age and sometimes clothing. Below is a better pic of the steed, known affectionately as the "redhead." The redhead is an adventurous girl who likes to see interesting things and often goes off-road to see them. She is, IMHO, the best handling motorcycle on the planet. The HP/Wt. ratio is no slouch either.
I love the grist mill one. It's my favorite one. If you think you can possibly do it better, please do.
