Thanks Ruby, maybe I'll put a note inside that says for Nicholas from Grandma Chris since he is the one that enjoyed them. Pretty sure he'll cherish it after my death. Think he is the one that will miss me the most and have the hardest time if I die.
C Chrissy..The cool thing about "sooner" is you get to enjoy giving it..plus watching your great-grandchildren play with it someday.
Not really doing anything out of the ordinary here. I used to do so much when my daughter was little... all kinds of traditions but now it's basically just Easter eggs (hard boiled) for breakfast with toast and no special dinner because it was always such a heavy meal and I'm trying to get away from that. I'll probably watch my online church's sunrise service and then the regular service. Oh, and knowing me, I'll be singing Easter Parade and Here Comes Peter Cottontail all day. Now *today* I'm eating Hot Cross Buns with the chicken veggie soup I'm cooking because the buns would be dried out by Sunday.
@Mari North first, welcome back, you were missed! What a coincidence, I am making (another) chicken-vegetable soup today, also. Sad the say, the store was all out of cross buns today, just when, after years , I wanted to buy some.
Thank you, @Ruby Begonia ... I missed being here. And wow, you're definitely in my head today (scary in there, isn't it?! ) with both the soup and the cross buns!
This is the stuff I adore . it's always around during all the holidays here. It's very soft and tender with raisens. I just pull chunks of it off. Panettone
