I doubt that too, but it is likely that this was presented as the standard of care, and that it worked against the survival of the patient.
I was afraid of Covid, but only because my immune system was compromised at that time and people were dying. Also, I have a friend who has never fully recovered after 2 years; she has now been diagnosed with something called "POTS" and has a terrible time with fainting, weakness, dizziness, and racing heart rate. Prior to Covid she was active and robust; now she is housebound. I have read that there was an up-tick in POTS after the pandemic.
