I just read that O'Reilly has his own podcast (video version as well) on a subscription basis (simulcasts on Newsmax), and he's a Friday regular on Beck's program. That's a long fall from Fox prime-time star for so many years to schlepping podcasts for $6.95/month.

No wonder he seemed so angry.

    @Jacob Petersheim
hi Jacob, I want to address this again today because I have thought a lot about your reply, and now see it as an altogether different "party", so I'll call them, "the others" for now. But that is what has taken over this administration, and it looks to me like the Dems and Rep. as well as others have actually united against "the others".

So today, I am no longer going to call the enemies within, democrats or the left. Whatever your message was meant to do, it did me good because I realized, we have the most United people during this election, all kinds, and from "other parties" besides my own. "The Others" are for God only knows what, so doing what is "morally" right to me is stop "possibly" accusing the wrong people. I think "the others" have actually poisoned many of us against each other to purposely divide our country.

I'm not saying we will ever be united in our beliefs and ideas of what is best for America, but we are united, I believe, in what we see is clearly wrong for America.

I saw how many in the House were listening. It appeared that he was speaking to an empty chamber. The speaker knows a little about the British government, but not enough apparently, or he is just speaking to the ignorant. The Shadow Government in the British Parliament allows for a smooth transition should a coalition fall apart and a new government be called. In Britain, the Executive is contained within the Legislature, a system soundly rejected by the American Founders, who felt every change in government should be accompanied by an election, something not necessary under the British system (although it sometimes is if an election is called by the PM).

He speaks about defending the Constitution and Democracy, neither of which apply to the Progressives who actively want to eliminate any form of written Constitution. We have discussed before that we don't have a pure Democracy, but the person speaking doesn't realize that or hopes that his listeners don't. Democracy was also rejected by the Founders as an inherently unstable form of government that invariably becomes mob rule before it falls into a dictatorship...which I think is what the speaker really desires as long as his side is doing the dictating.

I didn't watch the video, but read Don's reply which I think told me a lot. I just want to say that there will always be people that for whatever reason, want to bring division between people. I just think they are meant to do that, but to me, this is the most I've seen America come together in our fundamental beliefs of our constitution and laws.

What's really neat is the millions from all walks of life, all races, and all parties (not sure "all" parties, but many) join together to win. When everyone is being threatened in one way or another, that's when we are reminded of the fundamental beliefs like Kate Hopkins talked about in this thread! It's not too far-fetched to think of aliens from another planet attacked Earth, what happens most likely?? We all fight together ;) and that's what I saw happen on Nov. 5th  I'm just never going to forget that :)

I am no expert on the British parliamentary form of government, but I have read a bit while studying the American Founders and why the made the choices they did.

I guess I just wish we had a better vocabulary for this. In the past you really could find good people on both sides. But today even the makeup of the "sides" is changing, so much so that the "sides" almost need redefinition.

We can see this in he way various subgroups have slowly "come over" from one side to the other. Liz Cheney and RFK, Jr, but also right down to the voting constituency level. Many people have found they have different "common interests" than they once thought they had while they were in the grip of the Parties.

I don't believe the country is nearly as polarized as the media would have us believe. For one thing, there are an awful lot of centrists/independents (like me) who are not affiliated with any of the parties. I used to mostly vote Democrat, was a huge supporter of Bill Clinton, could not stand "W", and I even voted for Hillary in 2016. So for some of us, there is no "toeing the party line," which I believe is why Trump got his red wave last week. Reasonable people ("the silent majority") are still out there, and they are paying attention.

This is exactly what I think, too, @Beth Gallagher . We have people who stand out on the MAGA side, and people who stand out on the Liberal side, and the main large bunch of us are the un-noticed, peaceful Americans who just want to have a nice life and go along with whichever candidate looks like they are for that kind of life in America, too.
I think that most Democrats , Republicans, Libertarians, and Independents are all people who love America and want the best for this country, but they have different ideas of how this can best be achieved, depending on which view of the news they read or listen to.

I thought that Trump was joking when he first ran for president, and had no idea that I would end up voting for him, but the more I listened to what he actually said (as opposed to what the news reported), the more I grew to understand that he wants the best for America.

I think that he is getting ready to set us up with better people who also love America, and are younger and ready to take over from the ones like Pelosi et al, who have been there for most of their careers.
I would not be surprised if Vance ends up finishing out this term as President.

It did his last term as well. People in purported republics and democracies are under functional dictatorships and--once again--looked to America to set the pace for freedom. The largest example is the flood of immigrants everywhere intended to dilute all 1st world cultures. It's all orchestrated.

It's easier for me to see why the US is called the greatest nation on Earth when I look "outside" my own bubble. I'm not sure why the true patriots of America have been so strong through our history, when other (3rd world) nations are not able to fight horrific dictatorships. Maybe it's because people from everywhere came to make America their home. It's a very good reminder that we need our immigration, and the laws on it.

I read some gals statement yesterday saying we need our immigrants, as if she was thinking President Trump and "we the people" want to end that. It's a dirty lie some are pushing. We simply want borders, and immigrants to come in legally, period, as America had before this "present" administration took over. I think that was orchestrated as well @John Brunner. But it isn't working because "we the people" came together in a United vote, that I thank God we still had our right to vote.

I'm only surprised that we aren't seeing a "Santa" dressed in blue, delivering cat toys in her/she's EV with animals strapped into "pet car seats" as she/it waves a magical rainbow tofu cane.
