Standard Battery in Kansas says a Tesla battery weights 1,200#, although it says the battery for the Tesla Model 3 weights 1,060#.
"If government says that children should burn to death, then I'm sure the know what they're talking about." There are some number of people who would say that.
So those crazy boys in California have just banned the sale of gas cars starting in 2035. At least there's 13 years to undo The Stupid, but of course, it will create the havoc of uncertainty in the industry. These are the idiots who back in the 80s told people to double up in the shower in order to conserve water. Then they discovered that two people in the shower together take more time than each of them showering separately.
Liberals judge people by intention, not by results. They don't care what really happens because of their policies as long as the intention was correct.
Part of California's EV mandate includes a $20,000 per-vehicle fine for every car that falls short of the government's production targets. Of course, we all know that the issue then becomes how pure their intentions are. California has a stated goal of being powered 100% by renewables by 2045. One "intention" of this might be to drive people out, allow the well-connected to pick up real estate at bargain prices, and then pull back on these goals (or just abandon them altogether.)
I swear there is a chunk of our population who believes that the less sense it makes, the more genius it's gotta be.
Of course they killed Stanley Meyer for producing a car that ran on water and the engineers who tried to manufacture it after obtaining it from his estate. Theory? The powers that be want us to use up everything they can make money from before allowing free energy.
I like to know what they are going to do with all these lithium batteries as time goes on. If I read right, they cannot be recycled because they are too dangerous to take apart. Where they going to store them, when they become dead batteries? Also, to replace a battery in your electric car could cost up to 10 thousand dollars, depending on what type car you have. And right now, California is already asking everyone to not charge their electric cars to conserve energy. This whole green thing isn't about saving the environment, as most of us know.
