It seems to me that people are being pushed into hating each other, for no other reason then that they have a different religious belief, and even worse, a different color of skin.
This country was founded on the principle that people could have their own religious beliefs and not be persecuted for them. We also are a nation of mixed people ethnically speaking, many of whom were brought here as slaves and indentured servants.
There is a history of this, and not just with the black people; but also from other countries. Chinese that came here suffered horribly. Also, the native Americans, who already lived here, were treated brutally by the new government.
You would think that by now, we would all have learned to just accept each other and try to care about our fellow man, regardless of their race or religion.

Even though the common person mostly just wants to live their life in peace, and probably gets along fine with their neighbors; there seems to be unfair treatment from government and it has created hatred between people everywhere.
While it is perfectly fine to speak up against injustice , it is never right for us to hate whole group of people for what a few of those people have done.
As far as Obama, what he does or does not do, should not reflect on his race at all; it is the actions, and not the person, that we should focus on.

I always wondered why the Bible said that in the end times, Christians would be hated. All I ever saw were people who cared about other people, and tried to to good and help others who needed help. Even though that part still exists, it is mostly the radical/militant ones who are now seen as representative of what we are like, and this saddens me.

Was wondering when someone was going to bring the bible into all this.

    Sheesh. The irony.

This thread has a theme song : "Dueling Banjoes" (from Deliverance).

That's exactly what I think most of us are saying, There seems to be more bigotry now than there was before Obama took office and it's not coming from Christians. Bigotry can come from more than one race.

And you think that lying sneaking possibly murderous and definately " business as usual " Hillary is better? We may as well leave Obama in office if that were possible.

Well, being a foreigner (British) I don't claim to know a lot about Hilary Clinton, but most of the people I encounter here seem to think the world will be a lot less stable with a Trump win. You have had presidents before who have caused some amusement - George W Bush, for instance, but not concern. Bush seems to be unable to speak well and I noticed it was suggested he had an unusual form of early onset dementia. The only president remembered for a book of 'Bushisms'. I think America is truly in danger of going down the route of the Roman Empire: presidents becoming more and more powerful and not representing the ablest and best of America

A shame that despite YEARS of promises Bush was incapable of getting Bin Laden.

Obama had to do that and also straighten out the mess Bush made of the economy.

disagree. Clinton was the only one to have a chance to kill or capture Bin Laden and he passed. he was told if we take Bin Laden they might attack America duh - bin ladens execution was the result of years of intel and tracking before Obama was elected. ill never give him credit. for this or for anything.
do you honestly believe our economy is fixed???

The odd thing going on in this thread is that one or two of the nay people in regard to the "hanging" picture are bringing in a bunch a race and ethnic garbage that I have not read in any other posts thus far!!

I may not agree with the content of the picture but I also do not agree with other people putting words in the mouth of the person posting it!! So far as the puppet picture, again, I read no utterance from the poster even closely mentioning calling anyone the "N" word nor anything about someone's ethnic background.
Those words were brought up by someone who believes themselves to be overly righteous when ambiguous is the real nature of the beast with a no-holds-barred attitude!!

One poster mentioned how a Christian should be and mentioned the Bible and was immediately attacked for it!!
My suggestion is if you do not like the Bible mentioned then go find the "I'm all fuzzy, good and always right" portion of some other forum.
Nope, sorry. I see that a couple people who are against Biblical principles are only able to string 3 or 4 words into a bunch of nipping at the heels sentences. Put your scotch down and write for a change!!

Perhaps those who are so enamored by the present resident in the White House should start their own thread with a starter going something like, "why the president should take away guns from Americans and then sell them to our enemies so they can kill us"! No? Then how about, "Disarming America and Arming those who want us dead!"

Gary happens to be a Vietnam vet as a couple more of us are. I too found it a literal slap in the face and again, even though I do not agree with the content of the hanging picture I can sympathize with the feelings of one who was actually at war in that same country where Obama wants to sell weapons.

Shame on all of you for even thinking that this was even partially a place where race and ethnic baiting was the theme!!! I now, will be nipping at your heels!!

Unfortunately the West is not very good at limiting sales of arms and makes the excuse that such sales make money and therefore support the economy. As for illegal gun runners, their complete slaughter would be a war worth fighting!

@Gary Ridenour I could not care less whether you disagree. Same to you @Bobby Cole .

I know at least 2 other Vietnam vets who have read this thread and they think comments from both of you and several others are BS.

"Obama was not hired to think. and hasn't from day one. his purpose is to show his black face in public. far as we're concerned he's a traitor. he's destroyed the economy provided aid and comfort to our enemies, to name a few and he's an illegal alien. he should be hung by the neck until dead when leaving office."

Shirley why are you copying & pasting that trash? We can see what was said.

OTOH if you do a bit of research you'll find a site where threats to the President can be reported. (A woman spent 18 months in prison for posting things online very similar to some of the posts in this thread).
