Well some people posted pictures of my favorite green things like vegetables, money, forests, Kermit...how about the green thumb? image from http://devids.net/green-thumb-free-photo.html. There are lots of green beautiful things in the world and everyone covered most of them here. I love seeing green leaves with flowers. We have heavenly bamboo that's green, pink and wooden tiny thing branches. Image from http://apkxda.com/nandina_domestica_heavenly_bamboo.html I love this bamboo that brings good luck and is so enchanting to see. May this little heavenly bamboo patch bring you good luck too!
BRAVA, Healthy Julie! Lara, what a nice video. Your girl has a nice personality and is a natural! She looks like you, I think. My, what a super kitchen she has! I really enjoyed this; thanks.
I have Heavenly Bamboo in my yard (never heard it called that, I like that name for it!)! I've always called it Nandina but it's the same thing. I took a pic but it's too large to post so I've posted one I found online that looks just like the one I took. The red berries come just in time for Christmas so I often use it to add touches of berries to table centerpieces, wreaths etc. I t doesn't get very much direct sunlight so I rarely see much pink on it. Mine is about 25 years old so it's a 6' tree now with multiple skinny trunks and droops over when the berries are hanging down on it. Guess it should have been pruned regularly.
We moved into a new house two years ago, and we have a Nandina bush too. I was so delighted to see the beautiful red berries! I didn't know it was also called Heavenly Bamboo. That's such a cool name. I think I'll call it that from now on.
Oh, I love the grasshopper. Aren't they so mysterious the way they slowly turn their heads and stare at you with those knowing eyes. They can't have much of a brain in that little head but I don't care, I'm convinced they know secrets and aren't telling.
