How Will I pull This Off? "A couple walked into the Gallery with a peachy-white cockatoo perched on the wife’s shoulder. Thea and Bruce Berg had come in to commission a painting of their bird named Maui who had become like a child to them. I took photos of Maui as Bruce and Thea tried to pose her and fluff her so I might capture her at her best". "Like a child, Maui turned shyly from the camera, climbed up Thea’s arm and spun upside down clutching to her sleeve. At one point, Bruce offered his hand and Maui stepped onto it. Bruce flung his arm into the air with the bird clutching for dear life. Maui balanced herself by puffing up and I took a wonderful photo of her". (continued)
Joe, love the "Peachy Sunset" from StarryNiteArt.com. And I learned something from his explanation for preparing his masonite boards to paint on.
Ah... peaches! My best memory is of the rows of canned peaches my grandma used to have lining her canning shelf in the basement. Peaches and pears were my favorites. Secondly, this image comes to mind, and I'll be seeing it in a few weeks! Georgia, the Peach State... my favorite state of all... can't wait to be there again!
No, peaches wouldn't be one of my three, @Lara Moss . Let's see.... first thing would be St. Simons Island. Second... the Marshes of Glynn. Third, the "old south/Antebellum" feel, and then following that would be Spanish Moss, the feel of the air. Peaches would be further down on the list... never had a peach in Georgia. Oh, and Brunswick Stew. And beautiful *beautiful* Savannah. Oh my, now I *really* can't wait!
When re you going Mari? I know you have a thread somewhere around here about a trip down I-95 and looking for BBQ Peachy BBQ for Mari...
