No problems Holly - we all have our own experiences.

However, I CHOOSE to live in France precisely because of the warmth of the people and their family values. I'd visited France regularly for over 40 years before I came to live here 15 years ago and I will be staying. For me, the best thing I did for my daughter and myself was to leave the UK which I find narrow minded and closed (generally speaking) in terms of mentality and outlook. But that was my experience from birth until into my late 40s. I also find British people ruder than French .... and French people are more sincere (I find, with experience of living in both countries), they don't make friends instantly but build a connection slowly into and acquaintance and, if the two parties find they have more in common, it builds further into a deep friendship.

If Britain leaves Europe I'll be changing my nationality.

I go to Paris often as my daughter lives there and I'm only 80 minutes away by train. I love it, the atmosphere, the people, the beauty, the streets, the culture, the cafés, the ambiance, the openness, the sincerity, the welcome...
