I was on Bozo's Circus when my daughter was 3. It was a show in Chicago, don't know if it was shown elsewhere. Someone got me tickets because they were very hard to get ...parents would ask before they even had the baby. Anyway, I was kinda pretty then and I remember the camera panning on me a lot. It was a children's show and it looked bigger on tv then the actual studio where it was shot was small.
how about Ben Casey and Dr. Kildare? I had a crush on Dr Kildare...didn't he turn out to be gay? Richard Chamberlain?
Oh yes liked both Kildare and Casey... I favored Casey more...physical appearance.Anyways not sure about that gender preference thing.
Oh my you are making my day...how about Romper Room ? For itty bitty kidos back then .The lady would look in a mirror and see who she could see...and call your names. Oe day she calked me and my brothers names..mine then his...we were delighted. My mom of course sent in our names
We still watch Mash everday during dinner...we seen them over and over..and never tire of seeing the show.
Funny but I typed romper room before I wrote Ben Casey but deleted it because I thought not everyone would know it. Also...The Life of Riley and I wanted to be That Girl with Marlo Thomas even though I was blonde. Speaking of Marlo Thomas her dad had two shows I think...The Danny Thomas Show and Make room for Daddy.
@Gloria Mitchell ".... Richard Chamberlain?" "The Thorn Birds". How I remember the wonderful music! My wife and I were then living in a cabin we built in Northern Arizona, both out of work, no electric power or running water. We found we could get a Tucson T-V station using a small 12-volt operated set. I would be working downstairs by kerosene lamp in the evenings, and that music filtered down to me via the stairs.......the best time of our life together. Frank
That's really cool Gloria that you got to see Howdy Doody Show in person. My only memory of that show was something on Happy Days during an episode but I'm not 100% sure. Chrissy, 10 or more years ago a few people where I worked went down to LA and went to The Price Is Right. No one got called but they were in awe of how small everything was. They make it look bigger on TV. Richard Chamberlain. Remember The Thorn Birds? It was actually good. A bit creepy. Anyone remember that show Soap?
