Spagetti, can't stand the stuf , can't stand the look of the stuff, I'd never put that stuff into my mouth. YUK.
I don't like spaghetti made with the thickest spaghetti pasta either. Hard to get cooked in the middle without being too soft on the outside. Looks too much like worms. lol
I've made SOS many times from thinly shaved beef luncheon meat that comes in a 2 oz. pak, making my own white sauce. Then I read a "from scratch" recipe that used the jarred stuff. It was the worse thing I've ever made. It is nasty.
Reminds me of a really funny experience years ago. When I was 12, I had a piano teacher whose husband considered himself a master chef. He wanted me to try everything he cooked. I always did & it was usually OK. But one time, he insisted that I taste "Sweetbread." I said "Great; I love bread." I was imagining something sweet, like a homemade cinnamon roll. But I noted that the kitchen didn't smell like bread; it smelled like something died & went bad. When he opened the oven, I looked at it & said, "What the hell kind of bread it that?.....I'm not eatin' that." He cursed at me in Romanian, while his wife laughed.
I've had tongue my mother cooked at home. The only other place I've ever seen it was as at a Bolivian buffet. At home, we mostly ate it cold on sandwiches. I've also made oxtail stew a few times...it's very good. Same goes for chicken gizzards. When I buy a whole chicken, I simmer the gizzards and munch on them as I'm making dinner. You can keep your feet (pig or chicken.) I've never tried chitterlings.
Where I lived allot used to breed and eat pigeons. ……Ewwwwwww to that as well Yes I’ve eaten pigeons ..but didn’t have much choice …..it was that or starve
