Actually a lot of people DID complain to Admin. It was dealt with - several times due to multiple identities of one person over the course of several months. As I already stated, people shouldn't have to sift thru several pages of flirty garbage (or "witty" remarks from people who think they're funny) in order to try to follow a discussion about a particular topic. If that's "draconian" or "puritan", so be it.

It isn't that I agree or disagree. It isn't a problem.

But do you not see what's going on?

So if it was reported to the admin and was taken care of - why still talk about it? Is this a passive/aggressive warning to members here?

YOUR opinion, as Karen alluded to, is that you don't like wading through the stuff. Fine. What about others that might enjoy it but are too afraid to speak up for fear of offending the Puritan clique?

If you are not seeing these problems here, it does seem odd that there would be so much time spent talking about it. Of course, if you are seeing it here, let me know.

Well, let's see..you complained here about what you see as 7 pages of moaning and groaning..I get that you have your own reasons for feeling that way...but hey sometimes people moan and groan and ruminate over the darndest things.:)...surely you realize that..how is anyone harmed?

    Yes, I do realize that.

How is anyone harmed? Well, this might sound a little too New-Agey, but I believe that you are what you think, what you talk about and whether on the whole it's positive or negative. In other words, toxic discussions don't necessarily make things better. ;)

"7 pages of moaning and groaning" is a gross exaggeration.

Yes that does sound a bit New Agey..lol.. I sure don't agree with everything posted but so what? I am not going to curl up and die because of anything said on any Forum..the ability to just civilly say what you think is always a good thing to my mind.

People complain about what they see as injustice..it might not change anything but it doesn't hurt either.

There's a lot more positive ways to express yourself then continually running down other people or other forums I mean when I first came to seniorsonly Club I mean people were just enjoying themselves and having a good time now I'm seeing a lot of unhappiness I mean what's the point of going over and over and over and over something you know I don't know if anyone said it but you know it's like let's get over it let's enjoy what we have now you know if you didn't like the other forum you made your complaint and you left now you've got a new forum let's make it a good one

I take wisdom from wherever I find it.

It's a wonderful thing - too bad more people don't engage in it, instead of whining and grousing and forming virtual street gangs..

It starts to hurt when it hurts others. I've seen that happen all too often.

Btw....I am not the one who brought up the other forum nor did I bring up the flirting issue. Several others did. I came to the discussion much later.

I do think people need to use good judgement about their own online activities and do what works for them. our perception of things is sometimes skewed by our own biases..so it's good to keep that in mind :)
