Kate, is it for central NC? We are supposed to get rain tomorrow, turning into snow. Snow all day Friday and not above freezing until Sunday or Monday. There won't be any smart people on the roads unless it's absolutely necessary.

I promised you I wouldn't talk about our weather, ...... but I will... Tonight the windchill will be -48c.... Now if that isn't cold, what is.. We have a very warm house with a great heating system which is electric forced hot air.. We also have an auxiliary system which is electric baseboard in every room.. We have an electric fireplace as well.. We have an electric blanket on our bed.. All this will definitely keep us warm as long as we have electricity.. In the last 16 years we haven't lost power for more than a few hours and it only happened about 2 or 3 times and that was during a storm with very high winds.. Friday it is supposed to warm up quite a bit to only -10c...... Real crazy weather we are having...
So far this winter, it has been one of definitely colder than normal.. I wonder if this has anything to do with global warming or climate change they are talking about.. Even down under they are finding it a bit warmer than usual... The ice caps in the Arctic are melting..
Steve. we too are experiencing unusually cold weather too, ..its been in the 20's here and that is unusually cold for us,, i too wonder whats going on,?, i don't really believe in Global warming either ,, look how dern cold it is, LOL. They should change that name to ..Global Freezing!!!!
Our high for tomorrow is supposed to be 24º. Looks like we will actually have some winter this year. I'm going to get my little kerosene heater out tomorrow and light it. But it could be worse. I just talked to my Canadians and they have -24º at their house with at least a foot of snow on the ground.
Global warming or climate change, whichever you like, its definitely not normal weather this year.. We have been experiencing some awful cold days and nights lately with the temperature dropping down to as low as -50c with the windchill.. I ask you if that is not something.. As far as snow goes, we have had very little so far and we need some badly.. We have every week-end ice fishing tournaments in our village on one of the many lakes in our area.. That brings lots of $$$ to us with several hundred contestants who need food, lodging, equipment, gas, and groceries.. With more snow they can open up more snowmobile trails that again will be good for our village..
I'm up for a short while while I get tired again from going to the toilet.. It is now 4:45am and it is back to bed I go...
And its colder then a well diggers shovel here along with a stiff north wind coming from Steve's House!! LOL !! Our snow is all gone nowl!! whaaaa!!
