That photo i posted of the bay is looking NORTH This one is looking south …where we get the arctic freezing winds from
No @Louise Miller I’ve never seen snow but our temps get pretty low in winter the lowest is about 8 c …46 f This beach is only 5 min walk from my home
Took this yesterday from my front garden. We have a reserve opposite our home that’s water from all the rain we’ve had
No Louise we’ve had so much rain this winter we haven’t had to water our garden at all … that water usually disappears in a day or two but we’ve had so much rain the area is water logged . The grain crops are looking good in farmers paddocks due to the amounts of rain
We had one heck of a frost last night.. I lost all my tomato plants.. I went out today and I picked all the ripe ones and the rest can just go into the field when I undo the garden next week.. I made a BBQ for supper tonight as usual and there were a few bears down the road from our house.. My wife was walking the dog and saw them pretty up close.. They didn't bother me or come close to the BBQ smell..
Don't you ever listen to the weather man, Steve.?. Tomatoes need all the sun and heat they can, We never had tomatoes growing that late in September, Late July or early august is when we pick our tomatoes,,
We will be out tomorrow …we are treating ourselves out for lunch / maybe a movie ( will check what’s on at movies ) We’ve been married 35 years tomorrow ..so it’s good to celebrate the fact we are still together after all these years as 2nd time round marriages are reported as having a huge failure rate
Happy Anniversary Kate........ It is also our 2nd marriage and it has been 25 peaceful years.. Louise.. I only plant our vegetable plants the 2nd week-end in June as we are frost free by then.. I planted several grape yellow tomato plants so we do have lots of ripe ones..
Louise......... Most definitely our summers are short and not that hot... Boy, are the days ever getting shorter and the nights longer...
