Congratulations Steve and Annmarie . We are coming up 37 years married in Sept , not to bad for second time round as they say lots of second marriages don’t last past 5 years
Thanks Kate.. As you probably know, it is our 2nd marriage as well.. We have been together for 34 years, married 27 years and in all that time, we NEVER had a fight or a serious argument.. Sometimes we disagree but we never fight over it...
Something is wrong up here.... I have NO idea what is going on... A few days ago the temperature was in the very high 30's,c with a humidex in the low 40's,c.. Now that was too hot for this time of the year.. I had the air-conditioner going to cool us off.. Today it is so cold that I have the heat on in the house.. Last night the temperature was only 5c which is cool.. Daytime it is around the 13c mark.. This will be for the next week or so according to the weather channel.. This is almost July and what is happening with our normal summer?? I know "Climate Change", but this is extreme..
Neighbour just sent us a photo of the rain water run off …..in our area …..right across the road from our home …….Yes …Yes …….. the first rain to speak of ….THIS YEAR and over an Inch ……out rainwater tanks we use to water garden were dry ….so we really needed the rain BADLY …
Kate... Boy you have been gone for quite a while... I just spoke to our son who lives in Brisbane... Annmarie also has a sister in Brisbane.. Take care and be safe during your travels and above all, enjoy yourself... Take care of your hubby as well..... Very important...
We left home on June 5th …don’t expect to arrive home until about July 21st , at the moment we are near Noosa ( We are actually 16 km from Noosa) on Brisbane side of Noosa … Noosa is about 130 km from Brisbane so your family would know where we are …..to be honest this areas is a bit disappointing to what we expected and and ….no dancing for us ……it’s a bit cool and have not seen the sun at all today Here is a photo of the Noosa river I took today ….opps have to make photo smaller BRB to post @Steve North The area along the river had 100’s people…… hate to see it on weekends it would be a nightmare trying to get a car park …..but it could be because I believe it’s school holidays for QLD students . The many many cafes / fish and chip shops / ice cream / restaurants….. are packed to the brim. ( we are not eat out types , I prefer to cook my own food ) We are heading back to the Gold Coast on Sunday ….will be spending 4 days in Surfers Paradise, then 5 nights in Coolangatta ( about 35 km from SP) which are all not far from Brisbane Think it’s about 100 km …Steve
