My family out in Washington and Idaho are reporting the first snowfall of the winter already. This is pretty early.
I would not say that it has ever happened before, but having grown up and lived out west for many years, our normal first snowfall was around the end of October, and then the permanent winter snow started sometime in November, with a blizzard over the Thanksgiving school holiday.
My son, Michael, was concerned about his tomatoes, and I thought it would just be his first fall frost; but they might not make it through several inches of snow dumped on them.

Global warmists are like a doomsday cult. When it becomes clear that one of their dire predictions is not going to come true, they simply set another date and go on as if they had been right all along.

Believe me, even if the rest of the Earth becomes hot as Hades, Montana will be bitterly cold 6 months out of the year!

So much for the theory that a good frost or two clears up the bad weather pattern. on our third frost, last one this morn, flowers show the signs of frost, but not majorly. Cloudy and +1 today, no rain so far, in September i think we had 7 days without rain, on those days the dew was so heavy it was just like a rain. So if Indian Summer decides to make a show, would be sooooooooo WELCOME. I guess we haven't broke any records, 2019 is second in line for the most precipitation for September. Would rather break records on something more happy. Oh well, tough life, someone has to live it.:(.

@Micki Pembroke We might get a frost before Christmas, but usually it's more of a January thing during our 7 days of winter. :D

I think that we probably have at least one discussion about HAARP in the forum, @Teresa Levitt , and most of those discussions that are anything out of the mainstream media thinking, we have in the section for conspiracies and paranormal (one of my most favorite sections).
So, if you are interested in discussing things like HAARP, please check out that section and join in some of the threads there. I will be looking forward to your input !

I think there is more funny business going on out there than we can even imagine. There is lots of classified technology being tested with humans as the guinea pigs.

thanks......I read lots about it....the scientific jargon is so intense...I'm no way accomplished enough to engage in intense conversations. ..ha!

just read enough to get the gist of why....and how many years they've been able to move the jet stream.

No intense conversations, just some of us wandering around with a coffee cup in our hand and the necessary tin hat on our heads, and chatting about Twilight Zone topics.
