It's like any other cult where the leader eats Kobi beef and the followers are eating bugs and defend the leasers. The climate leaders live in multiple 35,000 ft² homes and fly in private jets, while the followers are supposed to restrict their footprints and defend the leaders. I have yet to see an analysis of how many normal-citizen life-years worth of carbon a single private jet trip creates. If they really believe their own rhetoric, the leaders are quite literally trying to kill us all.
Another cult of the gullible and stupid.... There are a few of those cults around. Al Gore complained that the recent climate conference in Dubai did not address fossil fuels, to which virtually every third-world country yelled, "You want to keep us in poverty." Al Gore's dad fought civil rights legislation at every turn, and now his son is trying to do something similar because he wants the cheap labor.
