I just don't know about your Thread. The way things are today have been the way things have been for years upon years. Many people in the U.S. just aren't going to feel "love" for others.........just the way it is. There are those that think some foreigners, who move to America, get things handed to them on a golden platter.

There are reason why we get involved in military matters in other countries. If you were to talk to some veterans, they could tell you the reasons and/or you could argue the reasons they give you.

Yes, the old saying "one bad apple don't mean the entire basket is bad", but many today just don't, and won't, think that way. They would rather physical fight someone who confronted them with this saying, instead of listening.

Same here Cody and agree with you
I feel anger everyday, not to genuine refugees now, but we have the added problem of immigrants from all over !
They want to come here and use violence to get here and its the poor truck drivers they target
So I still feel resentment towards 'them' they have shown what they are - violent thugs :(

Not sure what you mean Gary - maybe there is no animosity towards refugees in the US as there is here
and although I understand 'why' there is, I want to look past that and save resentment to those that deserve it.

The answer would have been to set up places away from the war zone with policing to keep them safe
I know there are such places, with shops and schools and work for them.
This to me is a reasonable solution - probably too late now to expand on this

BTW, there are those (U.S. citizens) in the U.S. that can "hate" others (U.S. citizens) here that have what they can't afford. Living "the good life" can't be done by everyone.

What is really sad is when the government tells you we have to tax more of your hard earned money so we can bomb other people and your pension might not be there for you because we needed it to give free hand outs to the immigrants. Also you better not get upset or you are bad

It bothered my mother that immigrants didn't learn English. She did but I'm a one language speaking loser. However she wasn't around a community of people from her own country who spoke the language making it less necessary to learn the language here. As far as the East Indian ladies go, I think they look very pretty. We used to see them in San Jose often in the 80's. What they wear looks comfortable and even older women often expose their waist. They are not covered head to toe where the sun can't even touch their skin.

I do think immigrants should learn the language of their 'chosen' destination

I think lot large part of the problem is that people are moving around more. Cultures only clash when they are mixed together. I don't like people sacrificing chickens, dogs, cats, or anything else so if I were living among people who did that sort of thing, I would want to make them stop and there would be a clash. But if someone is living in a part of the world where that sort of thing is normal, there's no clash, at least not as long as you're not a chicken, a dog or a cat.

Now people are moving across the world, expecting their new communities to adapt to them, rather than the other way around.

Not like that here - they learn or already know English (refugees)
The worst offenders are from other countries - many are discovered to be lying about the language barrier
Its something I really do detest
We have problems with the non conforming refugees, such as Sharia courts
I really don't like the fact that we have let things get so out of hand - and to answer your earlier question Gary ......
I would deport anyone that didn't integrate
