I keep thinking about hiking the Appalachian Trail next spring, but I fell down in the driveway a few hours ago, so I am thinking I might never hike the Appalachian Trail.
I feel sorry for kids who spend so much time online. There is no tonal inflection, there are no facial expressions, there is no immediate feedback/correction loop...there are only [assumed] hard feelings and the anticipatory anxiety of the next [perceived] slight. Makes me glad I grew up when I did and easier to accept me "oldness." Of course, I assumed your reference to "this generation" is to your daughter and not to this forum's membership. If I assumed incorrectly, then forget what I just said. But I still like your joke.
Oh no, I was referring to the younger generation. Have been busy following Twitter on incidents at Capitol hill.
So you have succumbed to the “age old” wisdom of knowing your limitations or, are you just imagining them?
Ken, you should really have one of those pronged walking sticks if you decide to go hiking alone. Hope you are feeling better.
