Hey John, here's another crossword puzzler. I do the NYT's mini puzzle every morning on my phone app before getting out of bed. Figure if I can't finish one of those, I best not get out of bed for the day.
There are a couple of you early morning puzzle solvers on here. I've gotten back into the habit, and do one after dinner every night, although I like your "may as well blow off the day" philosophy. Kinda presents a perverted motive. I love the functionality of the online format. And searching the web when I'm stumped beats looking for my crossword dictionary. I used to be big on the Quote Acrostics, Word Searches and a bunch of other stuff from my early years well into adulthood.
Sometimes perverted motives -- of the nicest, cleanest sort of course -- are the best kind. Agreed about the functionality of the online format @John Brunner . How did we ever live without the internet in our youth? LOL
Actually, D'Ellyn, I tell people, "If I ever went back to my old Lassie and Rin-Tin-Tin days, I'd take my laptop and iPhone with me". Heck, I remember doing inventory on 3 x 5 index cards and typing out Purchase Orders. Using a computer for both definitely helped me on my old jobs. My wife remember doing Accounting on a Ledger. Much, much easier doing it on a computer (she tells me). Both of us have been using a computer for a long time.......me/since 1989, her/1984.
