About 2 years ago, we had plans of re-tiling the bathroom on the ground floor so we went to the largest hardware store here - Wilcon. We were surprised to see a stall inside that sells croco burger - that's crocodile meat. My husband is adventurous when it comes to game animals so he said we would check on it when we're done with the canvassing of tiles. I remember the Australian festival in one commercial center where my husband sampled kangaroo meat. It was served on a plate with a green sauce. The waiter said the green sauce will deaden the extreme gamey taste of kangaroo meat. With that warning, I declined to sample it. But my husband said kangaroo meat is okay with him but not that green sauce which tasted like mint. Back to the croco burger, the packs are in half kilo. It is already mixed and all we have to do is to fry it in the form of burgers. But when we saw the price, huh, it was a turn off. A kilo of ground beef, the good quality, costs around 350 pesos but that croco burger has a tag price of 1,300 pesos per kilo, that's around ($30). That's the end of croco burger in our story.
