In the late 1970s, while adjusting a tucker blade to fit a different paper bag machine than it was intended for, since we didn't have the correct ones, the blade got caught on the cutting wheel, whipping the blade around and sticking it in my head at the area of my left eyebrow. At the time, I thought it was impaled in my left eye, however, because so much blood was running down that I couldn't see out of that eye. As it turned out, the blade entered the orbital cavity but did not damage the eye. It was actually impaled. They removed it at the hospital. I had one hell of a black eye, and lost sensation in the left side of my head for about seven years. If I tapped my finger on my head, I could feel it on my finger but not on my head. The nerves began reconnecting about seven years later, which itched like crazy for a few months. Today, the sensation on that side of my head differs from that on the other, but it's there. I've never gotten a black eye from an assault or from a fight, given that I'm such a nice guy that no one could possibly get angry with me.
Yes I have and it was two very black black eyes. Last year I didn't know the bathroom door was open and walked right into it and it blacked both my eyes big time. This year the oral surgeon perforated my sinus bruised my neck, blacked my eyes and from left eye down to my neck. I had a bridge and 4 capped teeth that needed pulling. The force of his pulling was tremendous. Thats the neck only ,
Ken said, I've never gotten a black eye from an assault or from a fight, given that I'm such a nice guy that no one could possibly get angry with me. For me, I've had them and given them. Once cut a couple of flips on a trampoline and landed on the outer rail on my face, swole eyes, and my head up.
Now that you mention it, I had a black eye from a topical skin cancer treatment on my nose. It was interesting.
LOL you had a mild panic attack just watching him pull my teeth. He would have to put you under to pull yours, that's if he could catch you first. I had to take you to er his BP went up so high dentist said he needs to get that down NOW. He has bad case of dental-phobia.
