It was not a dire hard watch, but it was fun, and kept up the spirits, no real thinking required. Plus had some good singing and dancing around, funny comedy skits.

Sure Hee Haw was fun...but what about Cliffie Stone's "Hometown Jamboree"?

One of my favorite segments of Hee Haw was the Hee Haw Gospel Quartet. In this one, Tennessee Ernie Ford was featured.
And yes, AOC and others could use a little bit of that “Old Time Religion” but this time, it’s I’ll Fly Away

Roy Clark ranks right up there with Leo Kotke and Jeff Beck and others of the best. Thanks for posting. I watched Hee Haw often, even though I'm mostly a rock and classical fan. Good music is good music. Can't say much good about your first post though -Where Are You Tonight. I felt kind of culturally dumbed down listening to it.

I think that era of country music beats today's country music by a mile. Today's country music songs and performers seem to copy off each other so that there is little originality. They just try to piggy back onto whatever is trending.
