Joe those reindeer bottles are so cute and the song, funny! I'm actually more of a wino than a beer drinker but now and then I like it.

I like "nine drunken snowflakes" :) I sometimes feel like a drunken flake and I don't even drink  ...(just a teensy)

Like right now, the night before Christmas Eve, and I'm procrastinating but I've got to run to the store to get Red M&Ms for Reindeer noses to put on the Christmas cookies I'm making. You know, important things like that. I'll bet they're sold out.

I came home early today, and found December and Winter in the yard, working on their tans! Since I will be cleaning the mess off the roof and re-pointing the chimney in the morning, I will post December 25, a little early!;)

It's been raining here for the past 24 hours or more. What little snow we had still exists in a few patches only, and that should be gone through. If this is global warming, there are up sides.

I went to the Christingle service at my daughter Caroline's local parish church, we go every year as a family. The vicar is very good with children and has lots of glove puppets with a duck as the main character.
There is always a subtle moral behind the stories that he tells involving the various puppets.
All the nativity characters are hidden around the church which the children go and look for, and they are then assembled on a table with the stable scene.
When the Christingles are lit the church lights are dimmed and it becomes magical.

Christingle means ‘Christ’s Light’ and it is a symbol of the Christian faith. Lots of churches hold Christingle services around Christmas time. The custom of giving out lighted candles in these services began in Germany in 1747 but it wasn't introduced to the Anglican Church in England until 1968.

Never heard of Christingle, Terry. Also didnt know you went to church. I've gone to different church services at Christmas time and I do remember candles being passed out at some but not Christingle.

December 26th is here. On this Day, in December,in 1865,James Mason invented (or patented, patent number 51,741) the first American Coffee Percolator. Ever since, it's become easier and easier to have a fresh cup of coffee each morning.
