If there was ever a "old year" that the modern world wanted to say good-bye to, it was the year 1999. A New Millennium was waiting to begin, and the New Year. 2000, was the World's panacea. I remember how PBS followed the Time Zones around the globe, as the New Year arrived in each Country. I taped 8 hours on 4 VHS tapes. Each country visited, celebrated and welcomed 2000, in their own unique way. I remember the Eiffel tower lighting up, the Eskimos, dancing with fire and ice, Midnight in Moscow, and in the US, the Bee Gees sang. Some of the performances were live and some, via delayed taped broadcast. It was spectacular. A few years ago, when we cleaned out all our VHS stash, those tapes went with it. All of us in the forum, will be celebrating at different times, so I will post a little early, tonight.
