I'm a Rainham boy my self was going to move to Eastbourne as my wife wished but just before we retired the Big C got her..12 years now. I cannot leave London its in my blood. As you say its changed but I can live with that and embrace these changes.
It feels really weird. I knew inner and outer London like the back of my hand. But it's a nightmare trying to figure out Glasgow! Luckily, I've got a free bus pass. Only buses unfortunately. One thing I really do miss is the freedom travel card. Good for buses, trains, trams, the underground and the DLR. And I've only been to Edinburgh once on a flying visit. One thing that is definitely on my bucket list is to go across the Forth bridge on a train. One of those things that's just got to be done!
A warm welcome to the forum from another 'Southerner'. Here in Tennessee, if you can eat it, we'll throw it in a deep fat fryer! Oh, and we'll play you some of the best country music you've ever heard, while your waiting!
Hi Mike from the sunny Dominican Republic. I hope the politico insanity is not to bad there. I escaped from Canada before it went politico correctness insane
Welll it may be many years since I lived in Glasgow, but I could still take you everywhere and anywhere almost with my eyes closed...lol..just as you could with London for newbies too..
Welcome to the forum from California. Ive seen that avatar on other senior forums, although we've never interacted. Think I saw you as Goldfynch??
You did indeed. But I was informed that I was not allowed to be a Goldfynche! However, I do not recognize your angelic countenance!
