...and a solitary Mandarin duck in our local little river which runs through the village (the river not the duck) ...he chases all the mallards...he's 1/2 their size but he's a fighter lol
Ooh, I like the look of that. A nice 3.5% session dark beer. I like the dark Krušovice beer, which is 3.8%, so I'll look out for that one.
Yes it is a session beer, but as I don't drink so much these days, I tend to be gently moved off the planet after just one bottle
I I haven't tried the Krušovice beer Tom and I see it gets generally better reviews than the Zatecky, but I guess it all comes down to personal taste, will look out for it on my travels.
Today was a beautiful sunny day..if a little cold..and the daffs are all blooming...no leaves on the trees much yet, but it was all looking a bit more promising..there's a little river that meanders next to my Doctors' surgery and the Canada Geese and Ducks live happily..side by side... Today I met Miss Poseur mallard, who was clearly looking for a starring role as a Mod-EL...I promise you she jumped out of the river and strutted her stuff right in front of me on the grass, turning and posing every which way while I took her photo..LOL.. ..and Mr Moorhen, who thought he'd get in on a bit of the action...think he wanted 10% for being her manager...
They sure dont look like they're going hungry! I must say @Holly Saunders that your ducks and geese look a lot better than ours, at least the ones I've seen.
Egyptian geese http://thepoultryguide.com/10-popular-domestic-geese-and-their-predators/ "Having long legs, but a small sized body appearance, the Egyptian is used for varying ornamental purposes. Surely, the breed is beautiful but has no potential for competing in the commercial markets all over the world. The only ones who prefer to purchase them are the ones who are obsessed with their beauty. Their weight, which ranges from 4 to 6 pounds, is also what makes them the least desirable".
