Of course we wanted him to grow up looking like that. But the spots spread out with more white between them than even that Dutch horse. He had a finer throat latch and neck than that and a slightly longer head. But knapstruppers are from draft horses.

Horses don't always change. My paint's registration shows the same markings as an adult as he had as a colt. They just got bigger. I wonder what registrations do about the changes. They are supposed to be a way to identify the animal.

    What's your favorite breed?

I Love the Tennessee Walkers, Quarter horses, Appolossas, Mules, Donkeys, etc. I guess I just love all of them, but the first one is my favorite. :)

I have never seen those Russian(?) horses. They are not all that color.
I boarded at a saddlbred training barn for years but never owned one until I left (much to the chagrin of the barn owner). I fell in love with a beautiful bay saddlebred colt born at the barn. The owner later decided she didn't want it and sold it to me for a good price at 3 yo. He died of a heart attack when he was 23. His mother did too:(.
I bought that Arab I talked about first which I then sold to a woman who would become a great friend, then I got a big red walking horse. He died at 32. I bought a few minis and ponies. I trained them to climb a ramp into my capped truck and took them to birthday parties and festivals so kids could have a pony 'of their own' to ride. We did a couple of parades with them too. And nursing homes.
I got a black and white paint, like the Cisco Kid's. My mentally challenged daughter ground trained him herself with the help of Parelli dvd's.
I worked for 9 years at a Dutch warmblood barn. Just moving horses, and cleaning a fancy barn. Not training.
I don't have a favorite breed although pix of Gypsy Vanners turned my head.
But, So did horse trailers. My husband said I had trailer envy.
    Did you have horses?

You stayed busy over the years I see. It's hard to have a favorite because when you get around new ones, they sometimes win your heart. Yes, I always had horses and ponies when I was a kid, Daddy always keep some, and he worked Granddaddy's mules, plowing his fields and his own horses plowing his own, hunting, and riding all his life. So I was taught a little at a young age about caring and riding.
Nice for your daughter to get to train that Cisco Kids, look a like horse. That was a paint horse he rode, right? Marie and I rented from a woman, who had 19 horses, which we took care of for a cut rent price. Lots of horse and colt stories about that one. So your husband said you have trailer envy? :D
