It got up to 30 F. today and it is supposed to be snowing now as we are under a winter storm watch, but nothing is happening here. The temperature is predicted to drop near the end of the week again. Who knows?

Temp in the mid 30's and overcast. Just a typical December day. At least we're not buried in snow and travel is no problem.

Temp at +30 F. this morning. We have been under a winter storm watch since Sunday but nary a flake has fallen. The warning expired this morning and the snow began to fall as soon as the warning was no longer in effect. Hilarious! We'll see if we get inches or feet.

So it was supposed to be in the single digits F, Monday and Tuesday nights (and it was). I threw my little silkie rooster into a feed bag and brought him home, (feeling Yvonne's spirit over my shoulder; ) He is very well fed with no competition. But now the forecast is back in the 50's sometime next week and he is going back to the barn today, Wednesday!
It seems this is becoming a trend, The problem is that, if the trend holds true, spring will be late and February will make it to 20 below zero! Someone will have to throw ME in a feed bag. This global warming is really annoying.

Warmed up here for a couple days, but it is back below 0 F. once again, and the bottom is expected to drop out of the thermometer over the weekend--perhaps -30 F. at this location. We'll see.... It wasn't supposed to be this cold already after the little warm-up to near freezing.

-30 F. this morning--a bit chilly. We had dental appointments to go to today, so fortunately we have a heated garage:).

Windy here, very windy! Actually, had some snow/sleet flying this morning around 7:30. Sort of funny, and weird, but we've only had one snowfall this winter so far, early last month. None of it stuck.

Hummmm, parts of Colorado without snow for Christmas? Strange, but we've seen it before. Christmas Day and not a flake to be seen in the air or on the ground (at the elevation Denver and we are at). Now, up in the "high country", aka mountain ski resorts........plenty!

Rub it in! :D 34 F here with 5 minutes of snow with fakes the size of quarters. Amazing! Rain now and back to a brownish-green Christmas in the making.

It hit 70° today. I'm not gonna need to fire up the wood stove again until Sunday night. Then another week of highs near 50 and lows near 20.

Unseasonably warm today for December. Temp at 64 F now but it it will be short lived. Highs in the 30's expected hereafter.

Absolutely beautiful. It was in the low 80s today. The tourists are enjoying the beaches and the pools and I'm enjoying sitting in the shade and walking in the woods.
