For a better perspective, here's an aerial view with a red arrow pointing to the house in that picture above. You can see how long the boat ramp is.

The river was over that swimming pool.

    Ohhhhh...
Nope, mine would have been only 1/5 of your water encroachment.

Well, as @Mary Stetler has said, I think we are tired of the weather, so we are throwing it over the fence to the lower 48. It looks like light snow in Wisconsin, snow in Maine, and below freezing temperatures into Alabama. I hope you all survive the next few days okay:D

Was near freezing overnight and it got to around 40 F. during the days. The snow is starting to melt in a big way, but we still need the snowmobile to travel our property.

Well, the Spring teaser weather is over the temperature dropped into the 30s and very windy. You could only enjoy the sun's rays from inside. I made the mistake of not wearing something to cover my ears when I went to bring the waste container around to the front. My ears were burning so bad I comforted myself with some hot cocoa. :)

Either way, drowning your problems in chocolate is always appropriate.;)

Welcome to the first full day of spring 2024! May it bring great weather to everyone. I spent part of my day working on my old truck. It blew a radiator hose, so I hope that is all that is wrong.

It has been above freezing now for a few days, so the driveway is getting slushy. I probably jinxed myself by removing the snowblower from the tractor and putting the back blade on so I can move the slush off the drive. The nearby dirt road is mostly down to bare dirt now and big lake/puddles. I had a terrible time finding the blade under the snow, as the snow is still deep enough that all the implements are still under the snow and I couldn't remember where the blade was. After digging for some time in several locations, I finally found the top link so I could attach a heavy rope and pull the blade out of the snow. Ah, the adventures of living in a snowy climate! The down side of removing the slush is that should the temperature drop below freezing now for an extended time, everything will freeze into glare ice.
