Such beautiful coolish weather we had last week. This week the heat is on again. The temp is only around 88-90, but the heat Index this week is 105-110. The humidity is the pits! I'm ready for Fall weather.
Today will be sunny and 83. Next week in the 70's. My electric bill is showing it is much less usage than last summer's I saw an interesting theory on global warming that sort of meshed with my noticing bird species changing over the last couple of decades here. Spoiler alert: not my car or my cow's burps.
Wild, wild weather!! Temps near 60 and raining now, but near freezing is predicted for Tuesday night. Leaves are just beginning to fall, but the possibility of snow developing near the end of next week. We have a volcanic ash cloud advisory coming over us, but it is pretty high, so it won't affect us (I hope). A lower level cloud is supposed to arrive in a few days but if it runs into rain, all will be well. The "city" of Tok near the Canadian border had record low temperature on Friday of 26 F. and a record high today of 87 F. Quite a swing for just a few days. Temps are dropping as the leaves, so winter will soon be here. I will have to till the garden before I put the snowblower on the tractor. Sigh....
As my husband would have said it rained for an hour just like a cow ------- on a flat rock!! I hope my sump pump is working.
LOL. That reminded me: My very rich sister came to see me at work once with her Chicago boyfriend. I milked cows at a hundred cow dairy. Boyfriend in a long camel hair coat (the rage back then) Soooooo out of place. I kept waiting for one of the girls to COUGH as they walked down the barn aisle. I guess I really am evil.
been 107 here today..and just 15 minutes ago, and the second time in two weeks- very high winds, blowing rain blaring sun,, no rainbow this time.. lasted maybe 10 minutes
Still 60 F. and rainy. Supposed to pause for 2 days tomorrow and Monday before the rain starts again. No change in temp though.
