We finally got a reasonable rain last night but no puddles this morning. The dry ground just sucked it up. Of course now it is humid.
26 F. this morning and the snow is coming down the mountains. I wonder if we will get snow next week?
Not that it matters but the weatherman says expect the temps to be in the 90s this week with no rain in sight. I've been telling everyone that the rain is coming. If you could see the expressions on their faces. I'm the only one smiling.

Yes. My daughter was bemoaning the fact that she had not been mowing the lawn during the dry spell and one of her roommates went out and did it while she was at work. She worried it would not recover but with these last rains, it did.
It looks like we are going to get some rain with thunderstorms this afternoon, from a front moving in from the west. Then more rain from hurricane Helene on Thursday and Friday. We surely need the rain. I don't think it's rained since the beginning of August here in many places.
