Most all of Kansas schools closed today due to very high winds, lack of visibility, and dust. No school events either. I have noticed many things shut down here when wind is way up. Of course this weather increases chance of fires and after 2017, we do not want that again. Sunny and mid 70's
Around 40 F. this afternoon, but it was 20 F. this morning. Our big greenhouse hot 40 F. today, the first time I have seen it over freezing this year as it was encased in snow and ice until a few days ago. Things are looking up. Light snow this morning, about 1/2 inch of additional white stuff.
We got about 3/4" of rain overnight and more is on the way. Temps have cooled from the 80's down to the 60's for a couple of days.
Freeze warnings for the next couple days (Maryland)…hope it doesn’t damage a lot of the young buds and leaves that appeared when it went into the 80s the past couple days.
Down to +2 F. this morning, so the cold is back. Supposed to stay below freezing through the weekend. No young buds or leaves here, although some of the willows in sunny places are blooming a bit.
Cool and gloomy with cloud cover; we got 3" of rain overnight and more coming. Seems colder than it is.
32 F. and snowing at the moment. 3 inches of new snow is predicted, changing to rain tomorrow. We might need the truck to get down our drive and road tomorrow.
It's been raining like crazy past few days, chilly, cloudy, light winds, overnights about 40 F, before then Spring was in full bloom, and I love that.
This perhaps should be in the "Ugh, Snow" thread, but it has continued to snow now for three days. Somebody must know that I removed my snowblower from the tractor and banned wife's car from the garage in favor of plants. I will have to rely on my plow for a while unless it gets bad enough to return the blower to the tractor. It was supposed to turn to rain today, but the snow has continued to fall. I haven't checked the accumulation but it is just at nuisance level so far. It is enough to cover the open spots on lakes and streams, so travel over the snow has become hazardous as well.
Hot 87-89 sunny and has been a windy day. Was 85 in house so turned AC for a bit. I am enjoying not freezing to death, but of course hes Hot
