Oh that's a real shame!! I spend a lot of time outdoors, and also in the garden in the summer, I'd hate to not be able to do that.
Partly due to fires but also a combination of auto exhaust and agricultural spraying, home wood burning etc.
Are there any natural disasters in your area? I know some parts of Arizona get the annual flooding, but you are probably at too high of an altitude for that.
In addition to all the fires in California we have been experiencing almost daily earthquakes in multiple locations. Nothing real big so far-------3.5 3.6 Holding our breath for the big one.

The Pros are clear, dark skies, clean air, and close proximity to winter ski resorts. The Cons are limited cultural opportunities compared to the big cities. Hal
Time doesn't drag for me at home but it does when I'm in line at the grocery store when there's a short line with a lot of groceries, a long line with a lot of grocercies.
