How Many Calories Have You Eaten Today Do You Think?

    Well, my counting calories last about two days, I have to just eat more sensibly at all times,
    not just some of the time. Moderation and more balance, and watching portion control more
    closely.

    Eating more balanced meals is going to be of benefit to me, I go in cycles of healthier eating
    all through my life and then those cycles of needing more moderation.

    I'm trying to cut back on my food intake This morning I had a bagel With OO butter, and a Mini coin muffin. So far I haven't been too successful in the cutting back.
    Food wise I feel like I'm sliding into a hole I'm not gonna be able to dig out of.

    I try not to buy snacks, Or tempting food, but When I get hungry I start searching for anything that I can just grab and eat, no cooking. I have started stocking more fruit and the few veggies I like.

    The tempting foods and snacks, yeah that can be a habit, or at least for myself
    at times, the grabbing and eating, or on the run foods, like yourself Tony, I am
    presently aiming towards stocking more fruits and veggies, again I go in cycles,
    so more healthy snacks is my goal..

    Yesterday: 1430

    Last year was a bad year for gaining weight due to lack of exercise. Not excuses. Injuries.

    I just went through about 2 months of trying "portion control and eating sensibly." Only lost 2 lbs. :rolleyes:

    In 2 months I could have lost 12 lbs, already be back to a healthy weight, and THEN used portion control and eat sensibly. Counting calories and keeping them low is the only thing that has ever worked for me. Portion control and eating sensibly is a lot more fun at your goal weight, than at 10 lbs over.

    All the tempting stuff is cleared from the pantry now. Hope to keep the calories below 1200 until I'm down 10 lbs. We'll see.

    Average: 1135

    Goal is a 700 cal deficit every day, because that would be 0.2 lb., and it would show up on the scales (theoretically). It makes it exciting to get up in the morning. :) I'd have to burn 1835 cal/day at that rate. Probably need to cut back to 1000.

    I don't count calories anymore. I'm too tired do all that again; keeping track of every little thing I eat.:p I just try to be mindful of food portions.
