believe me when i found out about the bedbugs i nearly died. i think there was a mouse at one point too. never found him though. i bought those sonic pest control things you plug in and i had one in all 4 rooms and bedbug bedding and that powder that turns them into french fries. I put the wheels of the bed frame in disposable tupperware type containers with that powder in them and fried a roach. when i moved i went through everything prior to packing it and loaded it all into the van where it sat in the heat for almost a week before i brought it into the house. never found any bedbugs other than the 3 i saw originally in that other apt. neighbors all around were getting mutilated by them and i had none. i made sure i didn't bring any with me.

OMG, the roaches in the Detroit apartment.... I had never seen a roach before that. Our roaches were unionized, I swear. The apartment managers would only have one floor at a time exterminated so the roaches would just move to another floor and then come back when the coast was clear, bringing their little buddies along for the duration.

When we bought a house in the suburbs, I had it sprayed top to bottom before we moved in and abandoned all upholstered furniture with the apartment. Everything and I mean everything was dumped in the driveway and not even a sock went inside until I approved it. It took two days and I'm pretty sure the neighbors saw everything we owned and that a mad woman was moving in.

Hey, guess what? I never saw another roach again.

The first place I lived outside of my parent's home was an old hotel in downtown Menominee, Michigan. A hotel is not an apartment but, although it was still called a hotel, this was more of an apartment because there were no desk clerks, and the rooms were rented by the month. I moved from there to a huge apartment across the street that was above what was then a Greyhound Station, adjacent to the Menominee Marina Park. The upstairs was divided into four apartment units, and my living room was large enough that I bought a large rug that covered about a fourth of it, and concentrated all of my living room furniture there. The kitchen was also huge, the size that you might see in an expensive home. I rented the first unit after they had renovated the upstairs, and the other three units were rented by friends of mine.

In California, I worked as an assistant manager of an apartment building, where I also lived, in Buena Park, later moving into a house with three other people. From there, I rented an apartment in Cypress, then a monthly hotel rental in Fullerton, which was set up like an apartment, although another section of the building was for nightly rentals. Then, there was a duplex in Long Beach, and a townhouse in Anaheim.

In Texas, I rented a condo in Brownsville, but then I moved to houses in Los Fresnos. After buying our house here in Millinocket, we spent a couple of years in an apartment in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

I may be forgetting a couple of them.

This forum is becoming a private detective's best friend. Now we need a thread on former names and maybe a basic family tree and our visibility will increase tenfold.

Perhaps having this data contained under specific headings is as you say (and I've made the same observation a few times), but there's lots of data just in general conversations. I've already lamented that I've disclosed too much over time. One cannot always be on guard. I bet if you go back and read your own posts you'll feel the same way...if you don't already.

I worry less about private detectives than I do plain old identity thieves. We are a target demographic (assuming that I'm not a 25 year old poser.)

I'm thinking, maybe a thread about the passwords that we use.

Seriously, I'm not too concerned about this thread, but it might be a good idea not to name the apartment buildings that you've lived in.

That would be a great thread. I know I tried to use "mypenis" and was told it was too short...;)

Maybe thats why you keep getting those Bible quotes?:)

I've lived in all kinds of appartments aound Atlanta area. Only owned 3 houses counting this one.
Also a couple mobile homes in Florida with large yards for dogs and cats.
On a side not,I was shoppiung in WalMart for soil tester.
We were in a hurry and a woman and her 6or 8 y.o. daughter were in line in front of us. She was teaching the kid how to add while we waited behind her.
So we stood in line patiantly for about 5 minutes. Then I spoke up and said " how about some consideration for those in line, teach the kid later" { I also had to pee ].
She got mad instantly and called me trailer trash! Hubby said " how did she know we lived in a trailer" right in front of her o_O [ remember he was onpain meds at the time].

I was madder at him than her!
