@Beth Please understand that what "I'm sayin' " is that if I had had kids, they would have been home-schooled. Frank
@Beth Gallagher You still "keep your distance", but I sense your interest becoming piqued. Now, that could go two ways: "stimulated", or "irritated', depending on interpretation of the definitions. My intent would be "piqued" if it were the former, thus "drawing" more heartfelt feeling into the "mix". You might have deduced, as I hoped you would, that I had had no kids by choice, but you would not have known why. So, now you know. Maybe. Are my "drivel-ings" all that hard to decipher? You are one of very few to state that , basically, I am not understandable. That is both painful and rewarding, a consequence bound to reap rewarding discussion. Care to "bounce it around"? Frank
There is no way that I would send a child to a public school today. In fact, most of the private schools have the same agenda, which has more to do with indoctrination than education, but let's not get too far off track with this. The gender issue does figure into it, but that's only one of the reasons to homeschool.
We don't get hung up on gender... there are only 2. Some people are confusing "gender" with "sexual orientation." A person can dress however they like and have sex with inanimate objects if they please; they are still MALE or FEMALE at the DNA level.
Several yrs back when all the unknown species were coming out we had a local store owner approached as to only offering 2 restrooms and why he did not have another or so, well sir was his reply back we do have another it is out back for the folks working in the lumber yard, customers unsure can have much more privacy back there, you know the blue portapotty, all they need!
I think God made a person's gender pretty obvious. If someone has a memory problem, they can check under their pants as a reminder. @Yvonne Smith I like your post # 99.
@Bess Barber , To lighten-up the overly-heavy atmosphere here prevailing, I submit this: On rare occasion, a child is born anatomically-challenged with respect to gonads. Rare, and I think with modern surgical and reconstructive abilities, such a baby will no longer grow up confused about him/her self. Had it been me, with my shy retiring nature, completely introverted, I likely would have enjoyed myself! Frank
