Of course, one must not forget financial compatibility, even though one partner has more net worth than the other.

I think that when either of the parties is young, then a significant age difference might be a problem. Certainly, that isn't always the case but there's more of a potential for it. Once both parties are over thirty or so, I don't know how much of a difference it makes, in a marriage or in a friendship. I have friends now who are younger than my son. In a marriage, I suppose there could be some problem in the later years when one person is retired and not so active while the other is still working and active.

As with most things to do with relationships, it only matters to the two people involved.

Once, for a very difficult 21 years. I tried hard but he threw it away. I was relieved in the end, he was hard work. I was always worried about money, he had so many crazy schemes, and hated paying bills. Now I have control of my life and finances. I would never enter into a relationship again, my life is stable, I have my own home and my bills are paid.

Although there are no more laws or states prohibiting MISCEGENATION some people have very strong feelings about it. California was the first state to do away with Miscegenation Laws. Some believe it is the answer to world peace. I personally have no problem with people of different races and religions marrying and procreating. It could very well be the key to more peaceful world. How do you feel.

I couldn't care less what other people choose to do; it's their life. And as for being a solution to world peace... what a crock.

Beth, I congratulate you for the proper usage of the phrase "I couldn't care less"!

Others who are grammatically unenlightened use "I could care less". I cringe when I see or hear that!

I consider "I could care less" in the same league as "irregardless."
