One of our members just got a cochlear ear implant....think he's still getting used to it. I'm sure he'll be interested in how you're doing.
How is the Cochlear implant working for you? I remember when Rush Limbaugh got one because he spoke about his adjustment to it often, and I was amazed that he was able to continue his radio show. Of course, I'm sure his hearing is well supplemented with technology. Probably, calls are transcribed for him in real time, largely because I have trouble hearing what people are saying on the phone sometimes and I don't have an implant. On the topic of the opening post, I hate that I have to see my doctor on a regular basis, as I much preferred the habit of seeing a doctor when I had something that needed to be fixed, and to not be bothered by them otherwise.
Hey....my daughter and son are dentists and their titles are Dr. Christina B***** Son is Dr. Michael C******.
I see my Oncologist every three weeks. my Rheumatologist every two months, my Cardiologist every three weeks, my Primary Care doctor every two months, my Dermatologist every three months. I have a Pace Maker and a Cochlear Implant.
I visit my Primary Care Physician twice per year. She's from India. (naturally) Harold (Hal) Pollner, age 82
I got my Cochlear implant in February of this year. I've gone back for modifications 3 times(it's actuallly fine tuning)). One day in the spring as I was walking out to get my mail, I heard scratching and couldn't figure out what it was. When I got to the street I saw the noise maker. It was a leaf scratching it's way down the street. I still have problems with telephone so I always use speaker mode.
A?...anyone know why a person has to keep updating DRs. forms and info...when you just did all that 3 mos. ago...and been at same place over 20 years !
