Me too! I still have some powerful biceps, legs, and quick sassy tongue. Be that as it may, I have promised myself I will behave here.
I do not think I have welcomed either of you @Micki Pembroke and @Sami Faye Sorrell. Perhaps, just perhaps mind you, I might be getting the “nearing old age” syndrome of ignoring those things that demand a bit of courtesy. I will put that mistake on my list of things to watch out for whilst growing gray and obviously forgetful. Please do accept my most humble apology ladies!
@Ken Anderson Nearing 70, I disagree with the anger for no reason as I always have reason and will continue to have GOOD REASON well into my 90's. Those that knew me in my 30's when I was living alone in the mountains that labeled me a "hippie chick" and thought I was a democrat were wrong on both accounts. No worries young man, I will remain of clear mind for the rest of my life and stay an independent. Guilty of rambling girly chit chat, but one out of 3 isn't bad for an eccentric lady nearing 70. I am eccentric but never senile!
No problem Bobby! Your welcome is timely and appreciated. Consider cataracts before confessing to senility ha ha! Nice to meet a true gentleman.
Well, uh, not to make anyone feel older mind you, but to be truthful.....uh.........a Biblical generation is only 40 or so years.
How are we supposed to act and think once we reach the so called " Senior " phase, looked for how to books everywhere. .
Not at all saying I'm right, but I was determining it off of this verse: Genesis 6:3 King James Version (KJV) 3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years
Yeah, I’m very familiar with the verse Bess. I think some wires were crossed. A Biblical generation, that is, one family developing into another family is about 40 years. It’s a given that a generation can be different things even in the Bible because when we look at the Abrahamic quote (Genesis 20 ?) where he was told he would have a son by the time he was about 100, it stands as yet another type of generation of historical starts and endings. Oh, and yes, you’re right but not necessarily in the sense that I was looking at but I do see where you’re coming from.
Looks like I should hot foot it outta here..if people over 70 are senile ..... ......I’m 74 next Birthday OMG ... They say it’s not you that realises you have a issue with your heath ..it’s others ...good spotting.... Maybe change the name to Junior senior forum @Ken Anderson
Another advantage being a senior of any age, we can take as many and as long a nap as we want to and no one will question..
