How To Do A Thread Without Offending Someone?

I find that the only way one can not be offended and can not offend others is by staying away from all Forums.

Forums all have one ingredient which will eventually antagonize and alienate others, and that ingredient is MEMBERS!

i was banned from a couple Forums in years past, one of which (an Astronomy forum) banned me for Life!

Whilst I too am beset with curiosity, I didn’t have the intestinal fortitude to ask.

I remember HAL as the computer in 2001 a Space Odyssey.

 

HAL : I know that you and Frank were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen.

 

It was a flame war with the forum's Administrator which caused my dismissal.

I didn't agree with her defense of Refractors while bashing the Maksutov design as being the best for high-power imaging of Planets. (I had recently bought a Mak and was extolling its virtues.)

In my opinion, SHE should have been banned, but she had the Political power, being on the imaging staff at JPL.
