    Mr.Smith...... was a great movie.

I feel sad for the youth and us too but imagine growing up now with such a dim future. I won't say this around young people. I fear they know. So many committing suicide last week was one year since our grandson fatally shot himself, he was 26.

Reading this thread I'm reminded of the movie Conan the Barbarian and its portrayal of the descent into decadence of the societies of an ancient region under a sprawling power overtaking everything.

I feel, we ain't seen nothing yet.

Those volcanic eruptions for instance, in Iceland, are an indication that we are in for global changes that will outweigh anything man-made will do us in.

What has been happening recently shows what happens when there is no discipline, no respect, no decency. The worst of human nature is given free rein. It shows how uncivilised we really are. Is it a coincidence that it follows the decline in religious teaching? Whether or not you believe in 'God', there is no denying the need for the 10 Commandments.

History is depicted by the victors so how this decade will be portrayed will depend on who wins the socio-political war we're in right now.

True to a certain extent, but those who tell the story's of preludes right before the fall would help if others learned from their mistakes,

Like the story of 'One Tin Soldier'. Being kind isn't always kind or have good results.
PT Barnum quote is more like it today.
