Oh thanks Beth, a little thorny huh...Responding to my own posts.... And talking to a good friend over lunch yesterday, we talked about the brillance and openness of Stern with this recent interviews across the country. He's no dummy. And how some minds are so tightly closed and made up about so many.
Lots of A$$'s out there and I don't consider McCain one if that's who you are referring to. Not too nice of we adults and our cutting remarks.
I tuned in on the last 2/3 of Stern's interview with Anderson Cooper this week, and was pleasantly surprised. He (Stern) seems to have changed a lot.
My friend who saw the Anderson Cooper/Stern segment said Stern evidently went thru intensive 4 day week therapy which turned his life around. Supposedly he was going to dedicate his latest book to the therapist but the therapist said, no, he was doing his work...Stern I guess dedicated it to his daughters. I have no TV so I miss a lot but it's OK I hear plenty on NPR. I'm no Stern lover but am learning so much about the smart man.
Cutting remarks around here are rampant, I'm one person. And I guess it's fine and dandy that the person we are to look up to and learn from gets away with what comes out of his mouth!!!!! Truly shameful as I see it and a lot of the world. I wonder if the president ever said he was sorry about anything and since Stern went thru intensive therapy I'm thinking Sorry has come from him a lot.
Well from what I've heard and what he's doing, intensive work changed him and his life. I believe he was quite intelligent to begin with but a crude mouth and I don't hear him but sounds like that's changed for this man. He's changed. People can change and they have to be willing to work at it. Many just stay status quo all their life and really miss out. In the "dark" ages therapy was a dirty word and the word depression was never mentioned.
