That worked out perfectly! Even if you don't get hit with the worst of it, driving in rain and wind isn't fun.
I'm hoping that @Cody Fousnaugh is doing fine and prayers with sprinkles of blessings for his family. So far what has kept this hurricane from making landfall is a cold stretch of water that is between the hurricane and land.I gather it's suppose to make landfall in Charleston, South Carolina. One media gal mentioned how savvy Floridians think they are about hurricanes. No not really we have a saying, "CAT 1 you have a hurricane party, CAT 3 you evacuate." Just tongue in cheek humor. We appreciate our media drama divas. If they are not from the area it's expected to be excited, and scared. I'd be scared standing out in driving rain, wind with projectiles flying around. Glad to read your alright Cody
Even though our move to Colorado won't happen for another year or so, wife told me that she'd rather go thru a snow blizzard than this thing. I did step outside our front door and took a couple of videos of the wind and rain with my iPhone.
I've been through blizzards but not through hurricanes so it must be bad. The most wind we get here is about 20mph and that's scary here.
