Yea I know but they sure do come in handy around the house if we keep them away from the China except at theft stores.

I had a 12 setting stoneware set, and a treasured set of elegant glasses that were gifts. I toted them from Japan to Pennsylvania, to Minnesota, to Illinois and lost one bowl in all that moving. Within 6 months of marriage, I was down to 4 place settings and half the glasses were broken, so it works both ways.
I really don't know anything about expensive ware. I'll give it to someone in the family who may use it someday.
